2024.04.16: The first progress report meeting on the Support and Screening Committee for Startup Creation was held.
2024.04.10: The 12th Steering Committee meeting was held, and progress was shared with all members.
2024.03.22: A training session (WEB) for use of the Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope FV4000 was held. (On-site briefing held on 04.03 and 04.04.)
2024.02.14: Unit Meeting was held at the Support and Screening Committee for Startup Creation, where advice was given by members of the Startup Support Promotion Committee and a lively exchange of opinions took place.
2024.01.23: The PI Training Program_Kickoff Meeting was held for presentations and lively discussions.
2024.01.17: The 11th Steering Committee meeting was held and progress was shared with all members.
2023.12.22: The Support and Screening Committee for Startup Creation in FY2023 was held, and five new assignments were selected.
2023.11.15: Moonshot webinar “Recommendations for Light Sheet Microscopy” was held and attended by 54 people.
2023.10.27: JST 1st interim evaluation meeting was held.
2023.10.23: Pamphlet for Kento Imaging Support Center has been created.

We exhibited at the 83^rd Annual Meeting of the Japanese Cancer Association, held from September 19^th to 21^st, and promoted the Kento Imaging Support Center.

On Wednesday, September 18th, we held a “Startup Seminar [Special Edition]”.
This time, we invited speakers representing Mayo Clinic, the world’s largest non-profit, comprehensive medical group in the United States, to speak about collaboration between the hospital and Japanese companies, and support for Japanese startups expanding into the US.In addition to clinical work, Mayo Clinic is engaged in a variety of research programs, translational research, and building an ecosystem for medical startups.

This time, more than 50 people participated, even though the event was held early in the morning.
We look forward to seeing you at the next Startup Seminar.

On Thursday, September 5th, the “2024 Results Reporting Session” was held at the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center as part of our support for startup creation.
This time, the session was co-hosted with the Life Science Incubation Council (LSIC) and was held in a hybrid format, both on-site and online. The content of the session provided a deeper understanding of the importance of overseas ecosystems and collaborative networks, and lively exchanges of opinions took place in a very successful environment.

We will continue to work with LSIC to provide support with an awareness of collaboration with overseas companies.

On Thursday, September 5th, a site visit for the “2024 Startup Creation/Growth Promotion Support” was held at the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center.
This time, the event was held in a hybrid format, combining on-site and online sessions, and representatives from the JST and MEXT participated, resulting in a lively exchange of opinions.

After the site visit, as part of the startup support efforts, Toru Seo (Newsight Tech Angels Inc.) was invited to hold a mentoring event for those selected for the support project. Specific discussions were held on commercialization, including how to capture the market, marking an important step towards future business development.

Based on the advice we received, we will continue to work hard towards further development of our base.

When research related to this program or research using the equipment installed in the "Kento Imaging Support Center" is published in a paper, it will be introduced on the website of the Place for Co-Creation and reported to JST as an achievement.
