The COI-NEXT (Co-Creation Opportunity Formation Support Program) Policy Focus Area (Full-Scale) Site Visit was held, where the PO, Deputy PO, AD, and MEXT staff gave advice and engaged in a lively exchange of opinions. Participating companies were also invited to attend.

Report on participating in the " Pre-EXPO Medical care in the Future "
On Friday, September 27th, we participated in the “Future Medical Pre-EXPO” held at Nakanoshima Qross. This international event aims to promote the potential and efforts of life sciences in Osaka and Kansai to the Kansai Consul General and industry, as well as to deepen exchanges between overseas stakeholders and companies.
At this event, PL Mochizuki gave a presentation as the leader of the Biocommunity Kansai (BiocK) Subcommittee on Digital Biohealth. We also exhibited posters promoting the COI-NEXT program (NCVC).
Startup Seminar [Special Edition] Report
On Wednesday, September 18th, we held a "Startup Seminar [Special Edition]".
This time, we invited speakers representing Mayo Clinic, the world's largest non-profit, comprehensive medical group in the United States, to speak about collaboration between the hospital and Japanese companies, and support for Japanese startups expanding into the US.In addition to clinical work, Mayo Clinic is engaged in a variety of research programs, translational research, and building an ecosystem for medical startups.
This time, more than 50 people participated, even though the event was held early in the morning.

COI-NEXT (NCVC) x LSIC 2024 Results Reporting Session
On Thursday, September 5th, the “2024 Results Reporting Session” was held at the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center as part of our support for startup creation.
This time, the session was co-hosted with the Life Science Incubation Council (LSIC) and was held in a hybrid format, both on-site and online. The content of the session provided a deeper understanding of the importance of overseas ecosystems and collaborative networks, and lively exchanges of opinions took place in a very successful environment.
We will continue to work with LSIC to provide support with an awareness of collaboration with overseas companies.
FY2024 Startup Creation Support Site Visit and Event Report
On Thursday, September 5th, a site visit for the "2024 Startup Creation/Growth Promotion Support" was held at the National Cerebral and Cardiovascular Center.
This time, the event was held in a hybrid format, combining on-site and online sessions, and representatives from the JST and MEXT participated, resulting in a lively exchange of opinions.
After the site visit, as part of the startup support efforts, Toru Seo (Newsight Tech Angels Inc.) was invited to hold a mentoring event for those selected for the support project. Specific discussions were held on commercialization, including how to capture the market, marking an important step towards future business development.
Based on the advice we received, we will continue to work hard towards further development of our base.
Report on the 1st Startup Seminar
The “1st Startup Seminar” was held on Wednesday, August 28th.
This time, we had Mr. Nao Yoshizawa give a lecture titled “ Shikujiri Sensei.‘’ He taught me the basics of learning from past mistakes and building a strong business strategy without repeating the same mistakes.
Although the event was held only online due to the typhoon, more than 50 people participated.
The Startup Seminar will be held in a series of 5 sessions, so please join us next time.
