The COI-NEXT Program (NCVC) × LSIC 2024 results report meeting was held.

A site visit to support the promotion of startup creation/growth under the Co-Creation Opportunity Formation Support Program (COI-NEXT) was held. In addition, a mentoring event was held for the three recipients of the program.

The COI-NEXT (Co-Creation Opportunity Formation Support Program) Policy Focus Area (Full-Scale) Site Visit was held, where the PO, Deputy PO, AD, and MEXT staff gave advice and engaged in a lively exchange of opinions. Participating companies were also invited to attend.

On Friday, October 11th, we co-hosted a panel discussion with the Life Science Incubation Council at BioJapan, featuring life science industry associations from Japan, the US, the UK, and Canada.
This time, we invited representatives from Newsight Tech Angels (Japan), Life Science Nation (US), MedCity (UK), and BioQuebec (Canada), which have long supported the globalization of startups around the world, to discuss how startups should utilize industry associations and partners in each country to advance globalization.

We exhibited at a booth at BioJapan, which was held at PACIFICO YOKOHAMA from October 9th to 11th.
Osaka Prefecture, NCVC, and COI-NEXT(NCVC) exhibited jointly. As COI-NEXT(NCVC), we introduced the Kento Imaging Support Center and startup support issues.

◆ BioJapan

· Contents : Panel exhibits (introductions to the COI-NEXT (NCVC), the Kento Imaging Support Center, startup support issues, etc.)
On Friday, October 4th, the third progress report meeting of the PI Development Program was held.
Three of the nine researchers selected for the PI Development Program gave presentations on the progress of their research, and there was lively discussion between the organizers and other recipients.
The next general meeting, including the recipients and organizers of the PI Development Program, is scheduled to be held on-site (January 2025).
On Friday, September 27th, we participated in the “Future Medical Pre-EXPO” held at Nakanoshima Qross. This international event aims to promote the potential and efforts of life sciences in Osaka and Kansai to the Kansai Consul General and industry, as well as to deepen exchanges between overseas stakeholders and companies.
At this event, PL Mochizuki gave a presentation as the leader of the Biocommunity Kansai (BiocK) Subcommittee on Digital Biohealth. We also exhibited posters promoting the COI-NEXT program (NCVC).
When research related to this program or research using the equipment installed in the "Kento Imaging Support Center" is published in a paper, it will be introduced on the website of the Place for Co-Creation and reported to JST as an achievement.
